Friends of Roseville is a broad based, grass-roots organization formed to
provide education on issues of public welfare and related areas which will
benefit the public. As such, it is interested in helping students from Roseville
California who are pursuing a college degree in Journalism or Governmental
Studies or Political Science.
Title of Award: Friends of Roseville scholarship in Journalism or Governmental Studies or
Political Science.
Area, Field or Subject: Journalism or Governmental Studies, or Political
Science.
Level of Education for which Award is granted:
A four-year accredited college or university undergraduate degree program.
Number, Amount and Type of Award:
Two (2) One Thousand Dollar ($1,000.00) scholarships per academic year,
renewable.
Method of Disbursement:
Made directly payable to the financial aid office of the educational institution
in the name of the student.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a Roseville California resident whose declared degree work will be in
Journalism or Governmental Studies or Political Science. If enrolled in a high
school, must be a senior and must have a 2.5 or better grade point average,
based on a 4.0 grade point standard and have a 950 plus SAT score. If enrolled
in a four-year college or university, must have a 2.5 or greater grade point
average based on a 4.0 grade point standard. Students must attend school on a
full-time basis.
Deadline for applying:
May 31 of each calendar year for the succeeding fall term.
