Roseville Residents will soon be voting on a $79.5 million dollar bond
that could negatively affect their property taxes for the next 25 years. The public needs to know all the facts to
make an informed decision at the poll.

$62.7 million will go to construct a high school in the ANTELOPE area by

will cost homeowners approximately $27 per $100,000 of assessed
value. Own a $200,000 home? It will cost you about $54 per year in
addition to the property taxes and Mello-Roos you
might already be paying.
IMPORTANT! Because of the recent passage of Proposition
39, school bonds now only need 55% of the vote for approval.
Measure
D does not drop the bonds currently on the property tax roll.
TOO MAY LOCAL TAXES!!!
They are: 1992 Elementary school bond at $19.77 per
$100,000 assessed value for 20 years.
Another
High School bond from 1992 at $25.26 per $100,000 assessed value for 20 years.
Roseville
residents recently paid to build Woodcreek and
Granite Bay High Schools.
There is a Mosquito
Abatement tax of $12.54 per household on your property tax bill.
New schools needed. . . but not at
FORE believes that the residents

School overcrowding and lack of
adequate school facilities are hidden costs of irresponsible growth. No doubt the student population in

built. But why should homeowners, who
already have high property taxes, have to continually foot the bill for the
City of
Because school districts rely
primarily on state funding and property taxes to build schools and maintain
them, the size of a city’s budget or the health of its economy has little
effect on school funding. In other
works, school districts cannot take advantage of the hefty budget surpluses the
City of
IS THIS SMART, RESPONSIBLE
GROWTH? Is it fair to keep asking
residents to approve bond measure after bond measure, while the City’s
land-grab goes unchecked? And what about the developers? After all, they are the ones who profit the
most from the
