FORE
Why Friends of Roseville
(FORE) was formed.
"Over the past couple of years, many Roseville citizens realized there is a bias against hearing legitimate concerns and the proper handling of such by our local officials. It became obvious, as people appeared before the city council and other city bodies to lobby for residents; rights on electric rates, that there were many other issues crying out to be heard from the residents; point of view. But it was the 7% increase in residential electric rates in July 1997 (that raises to 21% in the next 2 years) that galvanized a group of concerned Roseville citizens to organize FORE to speak for the citizens."
FORE'S MISSION
" We are a broad based, grass-roots community action committee formed to provide education on issues of public welfare and related areas that will benefit the public."
" FORE seeks to serve the citizens of Roseville by providing a forum where their voices can be heard and their wishes action upon, within the limits of FORE's charter and the constitutions of the United States and the State of California."
FORE'S OBJECTIVES
To serve the citizens of Roseville by providing a forum where their voices are heard and their wishes acted upon within the limits of FORE’s charter and the constitution.
To bear witness to all acts of government officials, elected or appointed, to insure compliance with the laws and wishes of the electorate.
To diligently pursue all alternate avenues of revenue-producing tactics before adding to the tax burden of the citizens of Roseville.
To seek redress from unduly restrictive or harmful legislation imposed in contravention with the wishes of the electorate of Roseville.
To protect the citizens of Roseville against the misuse of power at any level of Federal, State or local government.
To work in harmony with all levels of government to promote the common good, insure tranquility in the community and provide safety and security for the citizens of Roseville and their collective property.
